Mass Stipends:
In
accordance with a custom of the Church, a priest is allowed to accept an alm or stipend for the request of a Mass to be celebrated
for a soul, living or deceased. A standard Mass stipend is $10, but the offering must be left to the free will of the giver.
The proceeds from the Mass stipends go towards supporting the everyday needs of the parish priest in Russia,
such as food, electricity, and water.
